Our game with Ghana made me realize why I normally hate soccer. Even at the highest level it is a very amateurish sport compared to the sports popular in America. Maybe it was a long time ago and things have really changed since then Slag, but it worked back then. When we were done virtually every major alliance had us NAPed or DNH. They didn't change their policies, they just agreed to NAP or DNH us because hitting us was not worth the pain in the ass that we were :P

As people I actually like most of the LaFers. Just because I disagree with their retal policies etc... dosn't mean they aren't fine people. Believe it or not I am capable of disagreeing with someone without flat out hating them.....rarely.

I actually really disagree with this point Slag. I've found it to be a highly effective method of getting larger alliances to back off. When they did back off they got left alone as well. If you zombie terrorize them long enough they will eventually come to the negotiating table and leave you alone or work out some amicable arrangements.

Yes you can, you just have to be willing to fully commit to doing what is neccesary which we are not. We pull punches just like we did in Vietnam because of civillian casualties and international borders.

We could have won in Vietnam if military commanders could have gone on a real offensive. Trying to play a defensive game while getting potshots taken at you from across a border is always a recipe for fatigue and longterm failure.

However the difference between this and Vietnam is the North Vietnamese did not actually want a fight with us. They were content with ruling their country. The Taliban is clearly not.

Personally if you want to be fair and if I were from a smaller alliance I would accept 48 for one hit, and add on 24 for each additional hit. That sounds more like fair to me :P

Let me preface this by saying I don't know anything about the wari-Thomas fight or who is in the right. And Patty if you read this, this is not a jab at you, just an observation.

But wari and Thomas's back and forth kind of reminds me of a lot of the arguements me and Patty had on the forums :P

I don't agree that there isnt neccesarily a solely military solution, you just have to absolutely commit to it and right now we are not. But the worst of all possible scenarios would be us just pulling out.

The Pakistan situation is very sticky, but letting the Taliban take over Afghanistan is a sure way to destabalize Pakistan because the Taliban will now be fighting only Pakistan on only one front. This diatribe was spawned by me watching him and Dennis Kucinich talking about how we need to bring our troops home from Afghanistan. These two were just circle jerking about how we were past due and our strategy has failed etc... This is the dumbest position imagineable. The Afghanistan war is a totally different animal then Vietnam or Iraq. If you want to argue we should pull out of Iraq completely as that was an elective war, no WMDs, yadda yadda yadda I'm okay with that as you are making rational points. However the Afghani Taliban is a sworn enemy of the United States who protected Osama Bin Laden from us after 9/11. If we pull out and the Taliban comes to power, which will most certainly happen then Osama Bin Laden and Mullah Omar are right back in the driver's seat of a nation state again. They get to restart all of their terrorist camps without any sort of pressure or harassment throughout the entire country. They WILL make attempts to attack the United States again. If anything we need to get serious and just send in every available troop into the mountains and obliterate the Taliban once and for all not give them a free pass to start up a state sponsor of terror again.

The idea that a US Congressman and a National TV analyst would suggest we hand Afghanistan back over to Omar and Osama is just mind blowing.

New Kingdom Hearts 3D game, new Metal Gear Solid 3D game, Starfox 64 3D, Street Fighter IV 3D, new Resident Evil game, The entire Shin Megami Tensei series redone in 3D, Bomberman 3D, Contra 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Paper Mario and Mario Kart 3D, new Pilotwings, new Sonic game, new Final Fantasy game, new Ninja Gaiden, de Blob 2, Assasin's Creed Lost Legacy just to name a few.

It had the best lineup with the most announcements of any handheld or console at E3 by a large margin.

Am I missing something or is the game fundamentally different then 10 years ago? It really seems like exactly the same game to me.

Firstly get to work on the history page. I'd like to see a history of who won what resets perhaps with their forum name attached if they want. As well as what alliances finished tops for TNW ANW etc...

Secondly it'd be cool if major wars were logged on this page for each reset as well. With total hits/kills/whatnot noted. I'm not sure what language the current version of the game is written in.

Numbers dont neccesarily mean fluff. I remember huge huge RAGE tags that went to war vs lean smaller tags and got eviscerated. If all you can do is complain about someone else's legitimate success then you probably should just join then because you aren't good enough to challenge them.

Thats what I did with this thread lol. Already worked out something with Collab until that other guy bounced the thread 2 days after everything was solved.

To be fair this was legitimately a new grudge from something that happened this reset!

By that logic the only two Presidents fit for the job were Washington and Gerald Ford.
