I don't see a post on this so i had to start one.

So since Lucas arts sold out seams there have been a huge influx of cash into the series from disney and EA as well.
A new movie, one of three planned, a new spin off, Rogue One movie. That one is about the stealing of the plans to destroy the deathstar. A new video game, star wars battlefront. This Christmas will be full of star wars things.

anybody else excited to play the new game?

there is also to be another spin off movie but its untitled as well. speculation is that it might be about han solo

I've been in hardcore fanboy mode ever since that damn trailer first came out.

Funny sidenote, here in Japan, they were playing the trailer on TV as a normal commercial..last December...Who does that?! There were posters in the station, TV spots, everything....bit early, no?

Disney have also said that they plan to do a movie/movies about Boba Fett.
They really want to milk the cow for all it is worth and produce as much as possible.
It will probably make me feel like a little kid again :)
Too bad there is always that annoying waiting period between releases!!!

Totally agree...there was a massive amount of lore there that is just...gone. I would have loved to see the X-Wing series made into a movie.

I just might do that....I went in '09 and there were 3 hour lines to play L4D, which came out a year before...I was able to play like 4 games total the whole damn time.

Ya old news. The game will have the battle of Jakku as a free dlc. The new movie takes place about 20 years after return of the Jedi. After the Jedi there was a massive battle on the planet Jakku only told in books. The game got a chance to make it what they want. Some new artwork came out today.

meh, None of the movies can surpass the first one for sheer mass effect. That was a landmark movie, everything thereafter has been so derivative it's frightening. Disney owning the franchise now is only going to make things worse. :(

I for one am stoked, and honestly kind of looking forward to deviating from the EU. I loved me some Thrawn War as much as anybody, but I'm kind of excited about the prospect of being surprised. I'd kind of like to see the story move away from the Skywalker/Solo family members.

i miss the clone wars tv show.

for a show kind of maybe more meant for kids they wrote the politics amazingly well. i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yes tan you are right. The blue lightsaber was new and significant that it is Luke' s. This bad guy looks great. From what I gather the three movie series will play out more like the first three ( middle? ). It will play out to a showdown in the third movie and work up to it vs three stand alone movies.

That doesn't prove anything although I've seen other posts that quote producers saying it is (at least, in one of the previous teasers where you hear a lightsaber snap on and the producers say it's Luke's).

I guess I should say it's not 100%, but a lot of people more knowledgable than I are heavily speculation based on their nerdgasm and knowledge that it's Luke's lightsaber he loses on Bespin. They even say it looks the same. Not to mention in the original trilogy, the only blue lightsaber is the one Obi-Wan Kenobi gave Luke (Anakin's). The one he built after is green.

So either:

1) It's the one Luke lost on Bespin - and if you look at it, it looks similar.

or

2) That guy built his own.

I guess we'll see come Christmas!

This is Count Gregory Francis of the Jedi Council. My file will be used to see if someone is close to becoming a Jedi. I will mention two things. I am 2 on 2 Street Basketball legend team 1 and team 2 for the galaxy. I will also mention that my record in NCAA Mascot Football for PlayStation, is currently 2,375-2 on Heisman level which is the hardest level to play on. I will also mention that I was on the undefeated and unscored upon football team in 7th grade. I have many more good stats that are being used to test people.
