@dibs: apparently it's possible to build a small (and probably rather ineffective) nuclear device mostly based on stuff you can buy from the hardware store. Although the only thing that one would accomplish from that is probably giving yourself cancer.

radiation therapy. might cure some of that tobacco cancer that I'm supposedly due for. technically, i think I'd have to build it out of medical waste, not stuff that's available at the local hardware store.

nah, apparently glow in the dark paint will do it too although it's probably not as easy as that as in you need some kind of super duper advance physics knowledge to know what exactly to do with it.

hmm, i could use a nuclear reactor... probably not. only need 2 hp to run my most energy intensive devices, and that's only needed for 1 hour per day. ugh. i need a better memory. that doesn't include the air conditioner or the vacuum.
