Reading these boards only illustrates that point... however mny computer decided to have some serious fluffing issue within the last twenty-four hours and depending on whether this fluff continues, I may have to format my hard drive.

Thankfully I have a 500GB external hard drive. *kisses her 500GB My Book from Western Digital*

Well, la de fluffing dah! to you too! :P

I just finished a system format and am in the process of getting everything re-installed now, so if you need to get a hold of me, I'll move my instant messengers further up the checklist.

Off topic question, do you know of a good Anti-Virus that I won't have to pay for?

Just know that most of the free antivirus donthave an active scanner so you should remember to scan your own occasionally

I just recovered from a 0xF4 error. Now, this happened sometime after posting my last message here... Does anyone out there with more Microsoft Windows knowledge --know-- what the fluff the 0xF4 error is in reference to?!?

Because, I was told from one site that it had to do with Microsoft software or an OS running from a hard drive that has been oriented as a slave. Now, My question is this: Would this also be the case if something, say .NET 3.5 SP1 or 4.0 (I can't remember which) installed on D:\ and not C:\?

D:\ being my 500gb external hard drive, primarily used for backing things up in the event of needing a format.

Download Microsoft Security Essentials... Works great for me, not 1 virus infection yet.

most of avgs if not all of their active scanners/shields dont scan in the free version unless you manually tell them to. In the paid for version they are active.

I'm to lazy to check to see which ones right now :P
