I actually agree that the point of netting is to max out your country with the highest possible nw. I think having a higher rank is just a happy side-effect to pushing the boundaries. I think, at least on some level, most netters agree with this. A person who ranks in the top 10 consistently or even the #1 always aims to be better than the previous set even if that means beating their own past country.

Each time new formulas and loop holes are created, it's from the netters who push what we all thought were limits. So, by all means, hamper the netters. Embrace the challenge. Let's see what else you smarty pants' come up with. ;)

Let's sum this conflict up in a nice little over-exaggerated, completely fabricated/estimated ratio of 9:1 cause... i'm not going to sit there and count all you people. Kthx.

The 90% being the amount of clans that claim to be netting clans that pretend they'll war (when they get around to it sometime this year) and will pact out every set and avoid war at all costs, then get mad when their pacts get broken.

The 10% being the clans that actively want to war and have no one to war with except the same people over and over again who will sometimes tag jump to switch up the teams and make it slightly more interesting.

Obviously there's some discrepancy here since it's WAY easier for the 10% to mess with the 90%'s set and drag them into an involuntary war. Whoever heard of a netter messing up a warrer's set by netting them to pieces? Lol. Best case scenario for a netter avoiding war is to jump out of range and stock at a higher NW, costing resources and jeopardizing their finish OR waste valuable cashing turns on making hits... with the same results.

In short... Derrick is right. Crap... did I say that out loud? ;)

You've gotta be a fluff to be a war leader in this game or you'll never get to war.

I have to say... nowadays, regardless of how much i have to adapt to today's gameplay (being a vet that's on an off for random periods over the last 20 years..wow, that's weird to say), the thing that keeps me coming back is the community. Love you guys... or at least most of you. ;)

I think, at the end of the day, the destock method is fine. Mostly because you CAN'T get enough stock to win or get close to a win WITHOUT market play. You can run a strat beautifully all you want, but you're always going to be limited if you don't use the market until the end of the set or only use it in your destock. So calling out the endgame strategy just because you CAN do it without the market is nub speak imo.

Besides... I've seen PLENTY of times where market play (while using the oil destock) in the very last few hours of the set has changed entire outcomes...for better or for worse. :P

I think it really depends on your field to be honest. Some jobs pay off with degrees and others never will, while others don't need degrees - just the right person. Now if only the older generation could understand that. :P
